Extended House Stoke NewingtonNorth london
Our client on this project was a property management company that we’ve worked with over the last eight years. We manage all the electrical matters on their property maintenance and refurbishment contracts, so they already knew our work well. The property in Stoke Newington was a massive, extended Victorian house in a road that runs from the West Reservoir in the north to Clissold Park in the south. The house itself was converted into four flats, making this a strategically complex project.
What we did on this project – the summary
We were asked to do all the cabling, intercom system, burglar alarm, CCTV, speaker system, and fire alarms in all of the new properties.
This project came without a design suitable for our work on site, which gave us the freedom to develop the right plans for all the electrical engineering. And, because we had sole responsibility for this, of course, it was a project that went smoothly from start to finish. Our team created the designs so there was an added sense of pride once the project was completed.
- Cabling – As an older property, at its foundation, quite a bit of work was required to ensure that each apartment had the right electrics installed to manage the demands of modern living.
- Fire Alarms – Every block of flats, whether purpose-built or conversion, as with this project, requires a decent fire alarm system to protect all the occupants. We installed units throughout the property.
- Burglar Alarm and CCTV – It’s becoming increasingly important to protect one’s property, so it comes as no surprise that on many of our projects these days we are almost automatically asked to include a security system of some kind in our quote.
This was a twelve-month project and the apartments were completed in February of 2019. All flats are now occupied.
